"Always the beautiful answer who asks a more beautiful question"

e. e. cummings

I've been teaching at Curie High School since April 1998. In addition to the classes I'm teaching this year, my areas of interest in teaching include creative writing, technology integration, film studies, and media literacy. I'm also the sponsor of the Curie spoken word poetry team, Lyrical Revolution.

I am the school Literacy Coach and co-chair of Curie's cross-curricular literacy team. I am also the team leader for our department's World Literature curriculum team.

I went to school in the suburbs of Chicago and completed an undergraduate degree in the Teaching of English at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. In May 2003, I completed my master's degree in Reading Instruction at the University of Illinois in Chicago. In 2004, I also received my National Board Certification. To find out more about National Board go to National Board for Professional Teaching Standards.

Outside of the classroom, I love travel and photography.
